Dins dels l\u00edmits m\u00e9s aviat escassos de la geografia catalana, el nostre pa\u00eds \u00e9s un dels m\u00e9s diversos d\u2019Europa, no nom\u00e9s culturalment, tamb\u00e9 en l\u2019\u00e0mbit paisatg\u00edstic, d\u2019una enorme diversitat biol\u00f2gica i natural. Som en una terra de personalitat acusada, radiant, sovint abrupta. Malgrat que la influ\u00e8ncia humana ha transformat el seu entorn, i fins i tot l\u2019ha degradat, s\u2019ha fet necessari, al mateix temps, l\u2019obligaci\u00f3 de conservar el medi ambient i els h\u00e0bitats naturals. \u00c9s per aix\u00f2 que la constituci\u00f3 d\u2019espais naturals protegits a Catalunya actua de manera que les caracter\u00edstiques del paisatge, l\u2019inter\u00e8s geomorfol\u00f2gic o la riquesa dels diferents h\u00e0bitats, incloent-hi la flora i la fauna, hagin estat la base sobre la qual s\u2019ha assentat el pes de la llei per determinar les necess\u00e0ries figures de protecci\u00f3 que el nostre entorn demana. Certament, sense els valors naturals, la vida en el medi en qu\u00e8 vivim s\u2019extingiria o quedaria redu\u00efda a una insignifican\u00e7a.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nEls espais natural protegits, per tant, recullen els sistemes m\u00e9s ben conservats, amb m\u00e9s diversitat d\u2019organismes i h\u00e0bitats, els que representen millor el nostre patrimoni natural. Actualment, el Sistema d\u2019Espais Naturals Protegits de Catalunya est\u00e0 format per una xarxa de 182 espais, anomenada Pla d\u2019Espais d\u2019Inter\u00e8s Natural (PEIN), que inclouen els Espais Naturals de Protecci\u00f3 Especial (ENPE), les Zones d\u2019Especial Protecci\u00f3 per a les Aus (ZEPA) i les Zones d\u2019Especial Conservaci\u00f3 (ZEC), aquestes dues darreres dins el marc de la Xarxa Natura 2000, una xarxa europea de protecci\u00f3 d\u2019esp\u00e8cies i h\u00e0bitats. A m\u00e9s a m\u00e9s, dins dels ENPE hi ha els parcs nacionals \u2014que a Catalunya nom\u00e9s tenim el Parc Nacional d\u2019Aig\u00fcestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici\u2014, els paratges naturals d\u2019inter\u00e8s nacional, les reserves naturals i els parcs naturals.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nDe parcs naturals, a Catalunya nom\u00e9s n\u2019hi ha una vintena, per\u00f2 tot i que el t\u00edtol d\u2019aquest llibre sembla que anunci\u00ef nom\u00e9s aquests espais, es tracta sols d\u2019un concepte global, que s\u2019usa per designar de manera general tots els espais naturals protegits del territori. Per exemple, els parcs naturals presenten valors qualificats, amb l\u2019objectiu d\u2019aconseguir-ne la conservaci\u00f3 d\u2019una manera compatible amb l\u2019aprofitament ordenat dels seus recursos i l\u2019activitat dels seus habitants. Els paratges naturals d\u2019inter\u00e8s nacional s\u00f3n d\u2019\u00e0mbit mitj\u00e0 o redu\u00eft; presenten caracter\u00edstiques singulars pel seu inter\u00e8s cient\u00edfic, paisatg\u00edstic i educatiu. Les reserves naturals, d\u2019extensi\u00f3 redu\u00efda per\u00f2 de gran inter\u00e8s cient\u00edfic, contenen un conjunt d\u2019ecosistemes naturals que cal preservar. Aquest llibre pret\u00e9n donar una \u00e0mplia visi\u00f3 dels parcs pirinencs i els parcs de les serralades prelitorals de Catalunya. Pr\u00f2ximament, un segon volum tractar\u00e0 els parcs de mar i de les serralades litorals. L\u2019obra completa, un cop enllestida, abastaria una vintena de parcs naturals. De cada parc destacarem sempre, de manera general, uns aspectes determinats: la presentaci\u00f3 de l\u2019espai, el seu relleu geol\u00f2gic, els millors paisatges del parcs \u2014triats arbitr\u00e0riament segons el gust i l\u2019opini\u00f3 de l\u2019autor\u2014, el paisatge vegetal i les comunitats faun\u00edstiques, el patrimoni cultural i la influ\u00e8ncia antr\u00f2pica. Finalment, per acabar el cap\u00edtol, l\u2019autor suggereix \u2014tamb\u00e9 des del seu criteri modest, fruit de la seva experi\u00e8ncia\u2014 un itinerari a peu, generalment apte per a tothom, tret d\u2019alguna proposta per als m\u00e9s experts, amb la finalitat de con\u00e8ixer el parc i poder gaudir de tota la seva ess\u00e8ncia, que \u00e9s la natura mateixa. Tot plegat, com sempre \u00e9s norma d\u2019aquesta col\u00b7lecci\u00f3, acompanyat d\u2019un munt de curiositats diverses, estranyes, divertides, culturals o cient\u00edfiques que ajuden a comprendre cadascun d\u2019aquests indrets, o almenys aporten una nota agradable de distensi\u00f3.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nEls parcs naturals situats als Pirineus catalans, en el regne de l\u2019alta muntanya, presenten unes caracter\u00edstiques comunes pel que fa al relleu del paisatge, el clima o b\u00e9 la flora i la fauna que contenen. Amb altituds superiors als 1.600 m, aquests espais, en general, es caracteritzen per unes valls amples, de perfil discontinu, amb un bon terreny per als prats i un gran nombre d\u2019estanys i conques lacustres, restes de la darrera glaciaci\u00f3. A m\u00e9s, l\u2019aflorament de roques, m\u00e9s o menys dures, ha determinat la fisonomia concreta de cada indret. Per exemple, els llocs pissarrosos mostren valls suaus i doms arrodonits; per\u00f2 a les zones calc\u00e0ries es formen canyons profunds o b\u00e9 crestes esmolades amb roques gran\u00edtiques, com les agulles d\u2019Amitges. El relleu divers \u00e9s ampli: valls, cims, circs glacials, cascades, rius, estanys…, condicionat per una climatologia dura, amb hiverns llargs i freds, amb neu en les cotes m\u00e9s altes durant gaireb\u00e9 mig any, i una radiaci\u00f3 solar extrema.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

A Catalunya tenim cinc parcs que se situen a la serralada pirinenca: el Parc Natural de l\u2019Alt Pirineu, el Parc Nacional d\u2019Aig\u00fcestortes i Estany de Sant Maurici, el Parc Natural de les Cap\u00e7aleres del Ter i del Freser, el Parc Natural del Cad\u00ed-Moixer\u00f3 \u2013que tamb\u00e9 inclou el Paratge Natural d\u2019Inter\u00e8s Nacional del Mass\u00eds del Pedraforca\u2013 i el Parc Natural de la Zona Volc\u00e0nica de la Garrotxa, que se situa, per\u00f2, en cotes m\u00e9s baixes, a la muntanya mitjana.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nLes serralades Costaneres Catalanes tenen una direcci\u00f3 NE-SW, similar a la costa, i estan formades per dues sububnitats muntanyoses separades per unes zones planes corresponents a fosses tect\u00f2niques. La serralada pr\u00f2xima al mar es la serralada Litoral Catalana i la m\u00e9s interior, la serralada Prelitoral Catalana. La part m\u00e9s meridional s\u2019entronca amb la serralada Ib\u00e8rica, ja en territori valenci\u00e0 i aragon\u00e8s. Al nord s\u2019entronca amb la serralada Transversal Catalana, la qual, m\u00e9s al nord, s\u2019enfonsa en la fossa tect\u00f2nica de l\u2019Empord\u00e0. T\u00e9 una longitud d\u2019entre 280 i 320 km, amb cotes que van al voltant dels 500 i 800 m, podent arribar als 1.700 m al Montseny, amb un paisatge t\u00edpic d\u2019alta muntanya. Aquestes serralades estan tallades per petites conques com les de la Tordera o el Bes\u00f2s, per\u00f2 per altres rius m\u00e9s importants com el Ter, al nord, el Llobregat, al centre, i l\u2019Ebre, al sud.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nEls espais protegits de la serralada Prelitoral Catalana s\u00f3n cinc: el Parc Natural i Reserva de la Biosfera del Montseny, el Parc Natural de Sant Lloren\u00e7 del Munt i l\u2019Obac, el Parc Natural de la Muntanya de Montserrat, el Parc Natural de la Serra de Montsant i el Parc Natural dels Ports.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

FERRAN ALEXANDRI<\/h4>\n

Profesor y editor, licenciado en filolog\u00eda catalana por la Universitat de Barcelona (1990). Excursionista, espele\u00f3logo y viajero. Ha publicado TURISME TRANQUIL 1 y TURISME TRANQUIL 2 (2006), dos vol\u00famenes con 90 itinerarios de monta\u00f1a y 90 establecimientos (refugios, monasterios y casas rurales) de Catalu\u00f1a. En el terreno de la espeleolog\u00eda ha publicado EXCURSIONS A L’INTERIOR DE LA TERRA (2011), una gu\u00eda para conocer diferentes cuevas y simas de nuestro pa\u00eds. Sobre comarcas y parajes de Catalu\u00f1a, es autor de dos obras: 1001 CURIOSITATS DELS PIRINEUS CATALANS (2016) y 1001 CURIOSITATS DEL ROM\u00c0NIC CATAL\u00c0 (2018), una colecci\u00f3n dentro de la cual actualmente est\u00e1 redactando las 1001 CURIOSITATS DELS PARCS NATURALS CATALANS.
