Escric aquesta columna des de les muntanyes de Castell\u00f3. Sempre hi torno, a la serra Espad\u00e0, quan tinc alguns dies. All\u00e0 vaig aprendre, literalment, a caminar, i pels seus seus camins vaig comen\u00e7ar a c\u00f3rrer i a pedalejar quan era poc m\u00e9s que un adolescent.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nLa serra Espad\u00e0 configura una geografia abrupta i complexa, de valls profundes i de barrancs estrets; de cim espadats (probablement, d’ac\u00ed el top\u00f2nim) i de terra rogenca, i d’una xarxa riqu\u00edssima de camins que uneixen cadascun dels seus pobles. Ac\u00ed i all\u00e0, apareixen, sobtadament, trinxeres. S\u00f3n rases de la Guerra Civil. Els grans ens parlaven de la contesa sense gaires detalls i nosaltres, els xiquets, enregistr\u00e0vem la conversa, intentant imaginar aquella realitat passada. De trinxeres, n’hi ha pertot arreu. El poble n’est\u00e0 encerclat i a poques hores de cam\u00ed es despleguen les de la R\u00e0pita i les dels Orgues; les del Gurug\u00fa, les del cim de l’Espad\u00e0 i les del puntal de l’Aljub. Van ser posicions estrat\u00e8giques inexpugnables. Discretes i camufaldes, controlaven els passos entre Terol i la costa.

Han passat d\u00e8cades i les trinxeres segueixen all\u00e0, intactes, sepultades ara per l’esbarzer invasiu. M’hi vaig interessar fa uns anys; volia saber-ne m\u00e9s. Aquests punts d’observaci\u00f3 i de defensa corresponen a l’anomenada L\u00ednia XYZ de l’ex\u00e8rcit republic\u00e0, que s’estenia des de les muntanyes de Conca fins al Mediterrani, passant per la serra de Javalambre i recorrent de cap a cap la serra Espad\u00e0. L’objectiu d’aquesta estructura defensiva era aturar les tropes franquistes en la seva marxa cap a Val\u00e8ncia. Els republicans s’hi van mantenir ferms durant un any i mig; i la guerra va finalitzar abans que els nacionals haguessin pogut travessar l’invent del general Matallana. Avui l’extens patrimoni militar forma part del relat propi d’aquestes muntanyes. Cobert, ignorat en la majoria de casos, s’ha tornat gaireb\u00e9 invisible als ulls del foraster i sense gaire import\u00e0ncia per als habitants de la zona. Els paisatges de la serra Espad\u00e0, com tot paisatge, basteixen un discurs genu\u00ed que els fa \u00fanics. Un discurs que s’estructura com una imatge de s\u00edntesi, on la informaci\u00f3 est\u00e0 ordenada per capes superposades i simult\u00e0nies. Al paisatge, s’hi barregen capes temporals i tamb\u00e9 tem\u00e0tiques que endrecen els elements naturals i culturals, els gestos de l’\u00e9sser hum\u00e0 per adaptar-se i sobreviure en el territori, i els testimonis hist\u00f2rics. Tots es donen cita en un ara i ac\u00ed, en un espai geogr\u00e0fic concret i en un moment prec\u00eds. Tots aquests elements conflueixen alhora dins la retina de l’espectador. Eel discurs d’un paisatge ser\u00e0 m\u00e9s ric en matisos com m\u00e9s capes actives posseeixi, com m\u00e9s elements hi participin, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 com m\u00e9s l\u00facids i conscients siguem nosaltres, lectors del territori. La contemplaci\u00f3 del paisatge \u00e9s, inevitablement, sint\u00e8tica; aporta una visi\u00f3 de conjunt. Mantenim, per\u00f2, la mirada alerta als detalls que ens criden, fins i tot els m\u00e9s \u00ednfims: copsar-los ens d\u00f3na la clau per entendre qu\u00e8 va ser aquell lloc ahir, qu\u00e8 \u00e9s avui i quin pot ser el futur que li espera.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

ELISEU T. CLIMENT<\/h4>\n

Treballa com a periodista des del 1993. Primer com a periodista cultural i mediambiental, per centrar-se posteriorment en el periodisme esportiu especialitzat, tot i que mant\u00e9 la primera activitat al setmanari EL TEMPS. \u00c9s cap de redacci\u00f3 de la revista TRAIL, dedicada al trail running; ha estat assessor i col\u00b7laborador de la revista de cultura ciclista VOLATA, i des de 2014 col\u00b7labora amb V\u00c8RTEX, de la qual va ser-ne el cap de redacci\u00f3 a principis dels 2000. Ha col\u00b7laborat, entre d’altres mitjans, a DESNIVEL, GRANDES ESPACIOS, ALTA\u00cfR o VIAJAR. \u00c9s autor de la guia de trail running COLLSEROLA. 20 ITINERARIS PER DESCOBRIR-LA (Editorial Alpina) i coautor del mapa-guia CAVALLS DEL VENT, de la mateixa editorial. Els seus esports s\u00f3n l’escalada, c\u00f3rrer per muntanya, l’esqu\u00ed de muntanya en telemark i la bicicleta en diferents modalitats (carretera, btt, t\u00e0ndem, cicloturisme). La seva passi\u00f3 per la bicicleta des del 1982 l’ha portat a viatjar arreu: Isl\u00e0ndia, Finl\u00e0ndia a l\u2019hivern, Marroc, Ben\u00edn, Cuba… i els principals pa\u00efsos i massissos europeus. Per a ell, el ciclisme \u00e9s, abans que res, una experi\u00e8ncia geogr\u00e0fica. \u00c9s per aix\u00f2 que va crear el 2015 la CAT700, una aventura en autosufici\u00e8ncia que travessa Catalunya de Nord a Sud. Ha estat l’impulsor de la modalitat de ciclisme de grava a Catalunya, el gravel, com a via de descoberta i exploraci\u00f3 territorial.
