Escribo esta columna desde las monta\u00f1as de Castell\u00f3. Siempre vuelvo, a la serra Espad\u00e0, cuando tengo algunos d\u00edas. All\u00ed aprend\u00ed, literalmente, a andar, y por sus caminos empec\u00e9 a correr y a pedalear cuando era poco m\u00e1s que un adolescente.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nLa serra Espad\u00e0 configura una geograf\u00eda abrupta y compleja, de valles profundos y de barrancos estrechos; de cima acantilados (probablemente, de ah\u00ed el top\u00f3nimo) y de tierra rojiza, y de una red riqu\u00edsima de caminos que unen cada uno de sus pueblos. Aqu\u00ed y all\u00e1, aparecen, repentinamente, trincheras. Son zanjas de la Guerra Civil. De peque\u00f1os, las explor\u00e1bamos con el objetivo de localizar restos de la presencia militar.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Los mayores nos hablaban de la contienda sin demasiados detalles y nosotros, los ni\u00f1os, grab\u00e1bamos la conversaci\u00f3n, intentando imaginar aquella realidad pasada. Trincheras, hay por todas partes. El pueblo est\u00e1 rodeado y a pocas horas de camino se despliegan las de la R\u00e1pita y las de los Orgues; las del Gurug\u00fa, las de la cima del Espad\u00e0 y las del puntal del Aljub. Fueron posiciones estrat\u00e9gicas inexpugnables. Discretas y camufladas, controlaban los pasos entre Teruel y la costa.<\/br>\n<\/br>\nHan pasado d\u00e9cadas y las trincheras siguen ah\u00ed, intactas, sepultadas ahora por la zarza invasiva. Me interes\u00e9 hace unos a\u00f1os; quer\u00eda saber m\u00e1s. Estos puntos de observaci\u00f3n y de defensa corresponden a la llamada L\u00ednea XYZ del ej\u00e9rcito republicano, que se extend\u00eda desde las monta\u00f1as de Cuenca hasta el Mediterr\u00e1neo, pasando por la sierra de Javalambre y recorriendo de cabeza a cabeza la serra Espad\u00e0. El objetivo de esta estructura defensiva era detener a las tropas franquistas en su marcha hacia Valencia. Los republicanos se mantuvieron firmes durante un a\u00f1o y medio; y la guerra finaliz\u00f3 antes de que los nacionales hubieran podido atravesar el invento del general Matallana. Hoy el extenso patrimonio militar forma parte del relato propio de estas monta\u00f1as. Tapado, ignorado en la mayor\u00eda de casos, se ha vuelto casi invisible a los ojos del forastero y sin demasiada importancia para los habitantes de la zona. Sin embargo, a\u00f1ade contenido a la narraci\u00f3n de la sierra, a la vez que la erige en un verdadero espacio de la memoria.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Los paisajes de la serra Espad\u00e0, como todo paisaje, construyen un discurso genuino que los hace \u00fanicos. Un discurso que se estructura como una imagen de s\u00edntesis, donde la informaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 ordenada por capas superpuestas y simult\u00e1neas. En el paisaje, se mezclan capas temporales y tambi\u00e9n tem\u00e1ticas que asean los elementos naturales y culturales, los gestos del ser humano para adaptarse y sobrevivir en el territorio, y los testimonios hist\u00f3ricos. Todos se dan cita en un aqu\u00ed y ahora, en un espacio geogr\u00e1fico concreto y en un momento preciso. Todos estos elementos confluyen a la vez en la retina del espectador. El discurso de un paisaje ser\u00e1 m\u00e1s rico en matices cuanto m\u00e1s capas activas posea, cuantos m\u00e1s elementos participen, pero tambi\u00e9n cuanto m\u00e1s l\u00facidos y conscientes seamos nosotros, lectores del territorio. La contemplaci\u00f3n del paisaje es, inevitablemente, sint\u00e9tica; aporta una visi\u00f3n de conjunto. Mantenemos, sin embargo, la mirada alerta a los detalles que nos gritan, incluso los m\u00e1s \u00ednfimos: captarlos nos da la clave para entender qu\u00e9 fue ese lugar ayer, qu\u00e9 es hoy y cu\u00e1l puede ser el futuro que le espera.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

ELISEU T. CLIMENT<\/h4>\n

Trabaja como periodista desde 1993. Primero como periodista cultural y medioambiental, para centrarse posteriormente en el periodismo deportivo especializado, aunque mantiene la primera actividad en el semanario EL TEMPS. Es jefe de redacci\u00f3n de la revista TRAIL, dedicada al trail running; ha sido asesor y colaborador de la revista de cultura ciclista VOLATA, y desde 2014 colabora con V\u00c8RTEX, de la que fue su jefe de redacci\u00f3n a principios de los 2000. Ha colaborado, entre otros medios, en DESNIVEL, GRANDES ESPACIOS, ALTA\u00cfR o VIAJAR. Es autor de la gu\u00eda de trail running COLLSEROLA. 20 ITINERARIS PER A DESCOBRIR-LA (Editorial Alpina) y coautor del mapa-gu\u00eda CAVALLS DEL VENT, de la misma editorial. Sus deportes son la escalada, correr por monta\u00f1a, el esqu\u00ed de monta\u00f1a en telemark y la bicicleta en diferentes modalidades (carretera, mountain bike, t\u00e1ndem, cicloturismo). Su pasi\u00f3n por la bicicleta desde 1982 le ha llevado a viajar por todas partes: Islandia, Finlandia en invierno, Marruecos, Benin, Cuba … y los principales pa\u00edses y macizos europeos. Para \u00e9l, el ciclismo es, ante todo, una experiencia geogr\u00e1fica. Es por eso que cre\u00f3 en 2015 la CAT700, una aventura en autosuficiencia que atraviesa Catalu\u00f1a de Norte a Sur. Ha sido el impulsor de la modalidad de ciclismo de grava en Catalu\u00f1a, el gravel, como v\u00eda de descubrimiento y exploraci\u00f3n territorial. En 2013 cre\u00f3 su propia marca de bicicletas a medida, GRAVEL CYCLES, que dise\u00f1a \u00e9l mismo.<\/h5>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
